![]() ![]() The script you provided in one of the comments didn't work for me btwĮdit: I used bash scripts, so it probably won't work on Windows. I'm sure that other systems can do this as well, but I use macOS so idk how lol Google Takeout doesn't correctly set the file creation date- Keep a backup of all photos- on macOS, you can see the EXIF data by opening the image in Preview -> Tools -> Show Inspector -> "i" -> Exif. There is a paid tool that works with Google Takeout, I tested the free version and it worked, but I didn't feel like paying 20€ (iirc) for a few thousand images. png images- Don't use Google Takeout, you have to use the "download" feature within Google Photos (select 500 images and click "Download". Download the exiftool perl distribution/script from exiftool website here - Then just invoke it like this (presuming you are in the exiftool folder or have it in PATH): perl exiftool myImage. exiftool didn't set the exif data correctly on. you can just install the synology 'perl' package. During the process, you have to convert all. It's not the best solution, I know a bit of shell scripting but most of it is just code thrown together, but it worked for me ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I finally figured out how to do it and I wrote a small "tutorial" on how to do it. It was a real pain to find out how to correctly import all photos from Google Photos to Synology Photos, it took 2-3 full days. I have a Synology NAS running DSM 7 as well and I ran into the same problem a few weeks ago.
